Human Rights Month: Immigrant & Refugee Rights

Since August 2022, Chicago has experienced an unprecedented and alarming surge of forced migration. In observance of National Human Rights Month, we will have a brief introduction from Alderperson Andre Vasquez of the 40th Ward who is chairing Chicago’s Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights. An overview of working with new arrivals in the current migrant crisis we are experiencing will be discussed. This work is essential to adult learners and our communities, and we need to be more informed to do the work.
